DISCOVERING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Dominican Republic (48.422 kmq), with Santo Domingo Capital City, extends on two-thirds of Hispaniola island, and borders Haiti, in the west. It's one of the most fascinating exotic destination in the world for beauty and varied nature of the landscapes, the history and above all, the completeness of the services.

Golden beaches and clear sea, barrier reef, palm groves, lagoons, lakes and rivers, water falls, jungles with fruit trees and mountains, waiting for you. But are great sense of freedom, cheerful character of the people, perfect weather all year round, that captivate.

On the north-west coast of the Dominican Republic, 85 miles west of Puerto Plata. The sea north-west of Montecristi, beyond the coral reef, to Haiti and Tortuga island, was the sea of pirates. Lots of Spanish galleons sunk in that area quell´area still waiting to be discovered. Montecristi is also famous for his wonderful solitary beach and the carnival.
     
   
On the north coast of the Dominican Republic, 15 miles north-west of Sosua, Puerto Plata is surrounded by the sea and mountains. Puerto Plata has beautiful beaches overlooking Atlantic Ocean; on a small peninsula there is the San Felipe castle (1540); to east the suggestive Long Beach. Playa Dorada is one of the most exclusive destinations of the Ambar Coast with a prestigious golf course and a lively nightlife.
     
   
   
On the east coast of the Dominican Republic, 34 miles east of  Higuey, Punta Cana is declared by the Unesco a tropical paradise, with white beaches, reef and thousands of palms, in a landscape of incredible beauty. Punta Cana extends for 155 miles, 93 to north and 62 to south. Just north of Punta Cana, El Cortecito beach.
     
 
On the north-east coast of the Dominican Republic, in the far east of Samana peninsula, with the wonderful beach of Playa Rincon, coral beach miles 2,5 miles long, overlooking a fantastic sea.
